CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS GROUP

A new AGC special interest group dedicated to serving the needs of senior management from advertising, publishing and corporate communications was formed in June 1998. Bimonthly 8:30-10:30AM idea-exchange roundtables are scheduled for those responsible for print and electronic media production and/or procurement. Participants in this start-up group include representatives from AT&T, American Express, Citibank, J. Crew, Pall Corporation, Prudential Securities, Hearst Magazines, The New Yorker, Standard & Poor's, Time Warner, BBDO Worldwide, Grey Direct, Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam. These sessions will address issues such as procurement practices, in-house vs. outsourcing production, effective workflow, as well as many of today's technical challenges, e.g., digital and remote proofing, PDF, TIFF-IT, computer-to-plate, etc.
